Dear Reader,
This Veteran’s Day, we come together to honor the brave men and women who have served our nation with unwavering courage. Today, we celebrate those who defended our freedom, including those dear to our community and family.
In this special edition of our newsletter, we proudly share a heartfelt tribute to Dr. Benigno Villalon, who served as a young Marine PFC at the Marine-Naval Air Station in Atsugi, Japan in 1956, as well as a powerful photo from 1943 of the entire Weslaco High School Senior Football Team who joined the U.S. Marine Corps, including Harlan Block, number 10, known for his role in the iconic flag-raising at Iwo Jima. These images remind us of the sacrifices made and the legacy of bravery that continues to inspire us all.
We’re also including pictures from our annual Field of Honor ceremony, where our community gathers to remember and uplift our heroes, showing how gratitude unites us all in faith and purpose.
Let’s continue to honor our veterans today and every day, holding close their values of faith, dedication, and strength. They embody the spirit of resilience that we at Agestrong strive to build with each and every workout.
Thank you to all who have served, and to the families who support them. May God bless you and protect our nation.
